Feature: GroupsSince CSS was introduced to dA journals and later to galleries as well, there have been plenty of clubs about CSS right away. Later we got groups and those accounts kept going on with their passion for collecting skins and resources.

Hi there!

I'm =SimplySilent, and I've been on dA for about a year and a half now. I do a lot of digital art, including digital painting, photomanipulation, and pixel art, but during the last few months, I've been teaching myself CSS and making journal and gallery skins for dA.

Journals are like Ogres
They both have layers! And they both can make you cry. The deviantART journals have two different structures. The original 'Old School' layout where everything is named .journalbox, etc. And my preference, the newer gruze structure. I prefer the gruze expressly because it is chockful of layers. 1. The science or study of Conceptual Art and the techniques involved in the procedures, processes, methods, of making and developing a conceptual piece through any form of medium
2. In conceptography the idea or concept is the most important aspect of the work. When an artist uses a conceptual form of art, it means that all of the planning and decisions are made beforehand to express the meaning being portrayed.
Not to be confused with "Concept Art" which is an illustration that conveys a visual representation of a design or idea for use in films, video games, animation, or comic books before it is put into the final product.

Being Funny with HaveTales-WillTellI'm constantly sad about not finding sufficient amounts of humorous works here. It occurred to me that, you know, maybe I should spread the word on how to be funny!
Since I've got nothing, I turned to someone who is pretty amusing around these parts. The thumbnails featured throughout this article were provided by `HaveTales-WillTell (or are from his gallery), so you don't have to take my word for it.

What do you find funny?
Above all else, I delight in cleverness. When reading, that often means puns and other forms of wordplay; with visual media, there can be the additional dimension of a character's actions mirroring or contrasting with their mannerisms, dialogue or accent.
These days, puns are underappreciated, relegated to opening-monologue punchlines and thrown-together internet memes. (Walken on Sunshine, anyone?

Hey again Devious CSSkinners! So last article I mentioned how to add and style the .author{} selector. This article, I'll tell you how you can add an author's avatar into your journals that the gruze skin will automatically generate! Initially, I was going for a more difficult approach (which is why I separated the two articles) but I figured out a MUCH simpler way to code in the avatars!

Most people could only name a few typefaces, but among those few are always Times New Roman, Arial and Helvetica. Well-known and popular or not, in this article I will show you why Helvetica is not the great typeface people perceive it to be.

Arial is often frowned upon due to its history, but what most people don’t know is that Helvetica has a very similar history.
