The Doctor's Daughter

One of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who. I hope to see her in upcoming episodes. I love her character. She needs more love! <spoiler>This is the regen scene.</spoiler>

The Doctor was number Ten, David Tennant. Fun Doctor Who fact. Jenny's character is played by number Five's actual daughter. And David Tennant married her. [link]

I did this in two sittings. The WIP shows the result of the first sitting. Which took roughly 3+ hours. So, my butt is sore. :shifty:

Reference, official picture from the episode. [link] I can't find the reference image, it was on the official site over a year ago.

Jenny is played by Georgia Moffett.

It is one of my favorite digital paints.... Which reminds me, I have an unfinished painting that I started a loooooong time ago for you ;P If only the computer did not lose all that work I did on it. But I guess that means it will inspire me to redo it better??

I might crop the final image a bit, since working on her arm was not looking right to me. Maybe I should experiment with texture brushes on this one, since all my digital paints look rather flat. And I want them to look less like a photo and more like a paint. More like super-realistic (my ultimate goal).

I may just have to watch this "Dr. Who" stuff some day so I know what people are talking about.

Hahaha, it is good fun. If you do not mind bad fx and old filming, then maybe start with the original series. I grew up watching them, and my Mom loves Doctor Who. If you enjoy British humor, you may enjoy these. It was created as a children's program, so bear that in mind. The new series is definitely geared to adults. The show has more sci-fi horror/thriller type scenarios. There are two offshoot shows. The Sara Jane Adventures which is aimed for children. And Torchwood which is very much geared at a mature audience with loads of adult situations and innuendo.

I love the series. If you do not like British humor and shows, then you might not like it at all. If you're not into sci-fi type things then possibly not. And if you don't like geeky fandoms, then maybe not for you either. But if you like all three it is a winner ;D My bf does not like Doctor Who. If only I knew that before I met him :XD: hahahaha!!!

ive been wondering... did she "regenerate" without changing, or did The Source bring her back? because fans are saying both. whats your opinion?

I suppose I took her to be only kinda dead, more like a coma or barely alive and she only regenerated as in healing. If she had fully died then it would have been a complete change and she would've gone entirely glowy, I'd guess. ;D
