Digital painting practice. I did this one ATC sized so it could be a quickie. I haven't really done much in the way of digital paint, nor working from reference. I'm so pleased with the outcome. Glass, water, reflections lighting.... woooooo!
Stock is my own:
I think this was a couple hours. It's 2½"x3½", 72dpi, painted at 300%, while the ref photo was at 25%
Tools used, gradient fill, default hard brush, edges softened a little, dodge and burn, color picker. didn't sketch it in first, just blocked in the colors then started putting in details.
Critiques welcomed! This is a new technique for me and I wanna hear your thoughts. I know I got lazy on the chains and bottom details.
